Song of the Week: “Hounds of Love” by Kate Bush

British singer Kate Bush is having a resurgence in popularity lately due to the use of her song “Running Up That Hill” on Stranger Things but her amazing catalog of haunting tunes is much wider. To help you celebrate Halloween a few days early, our song of the week is “Hounds of Love,” from Bush’s 1985 album of the same name. It’s fitting for the holiday because the opening line “In the dream! It’s coming” actually has a horror movie connection, as Rocking in the Norselands explains: “The sample that opens the Kate Bush song ‘Hounds of Love’ comes from the 1957 British horror film Night of the Demon and are mouthed by the actor Reginald Beckwith.”
