You probably aren’t alone if you haven’t heard of Rose Betts. The up-and-coming vocal sensation originally hails from London, but now finds herself chasing her dreams in L.A. Betts first big break came from a self-produced track “Song to the Siren,” which was included on Zack Snyder’s Justice League (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack).
Bett’s style is whimsical, folk-flavored, and peppered with echoes of Celtic ballads. Recently she released her first album, White Orchids, which she wrote and co-produced herself.
Despite her amazing talent and prowess, what sent her soaring into her newfound fame was a quickly composed song about a blind date that she posted on TikTok. Inspired by a real blind date her friends set her up on, Betts found herself going viral on TikTok for the song “Driving Myself Home,” which has clocked up over five million views.
With the above-mentioned two songs being the ones that brought Rose Betts the most attention, the song that hooked my ear was her track “Alone in an Uber,” which she recently performed live with Rocko Wheeler.
