Research done by Wethrift.com revealed that the most common and popular sex toys across the globe are butt plugs and cock rings. We may not all speak the same language, but we mostly seem to speak the same sex toy! According to Wethrift, 12 out of 30 countries prefer to use butt plugs in the bedroom, while 11 out of 30 countries opt for cock rings for extra pleasure. Combining those two figures accounts for five-sixths of the countries on the list. Butt plug fans can be found in Germany, Poland and India, whereas cock ring connoisseurs can be found largely in France, Singapore and Brazil. Over in Finland, South Africa, and also here in America, the most popular sex toy is a penis pump.
There were a few stand out countries who preferred other types of sex play and toys. According to same online survey listed above at Wethrift.com, Romania opts for the strap-on as their favorite sex toy while the Czech Republic prefers sounding rods. Which country is searching for sex toys the most? The Sex Toy World Rankings compiled that information and Vouchercloud revealed that the most toy-happy region is Denmark. According to the research, the Danes make 118 annual sex toy searches per 1,000 internet users. Swedes are in second place with Greenland in thirds and America comes in fourth place with 104 searches for sex toys per 1,000 internet users.
So if you are planning any international trips in the coming year, you can now pack sex toys accordingly based on your destination, but be careful not to pack any for the countries that have all out ban on sex toys!
