Selected interview quotes (some quotes have been lightly edited):

On how to use cannabis to improve your sex life:

It’s good to practice an instrument on your own before playing in a band with others. Sousing cannabis for solo self-care solo, with masturbation and self-love practices, can help us to develop a relationship with the plant and the different products and methods of consumption and dosing that each of us is going to need. Depending on our tolerance, our intentions, our experience, and our relationship with the plant, the dose and the method that we use is going to be different, but for pretty much anyone newer to cannabis, or newer to using it with sex, I would say starting by yourself is ideal.

I would suggest to start with a low dose of cannabis, because you can always add more, but you can’t add less. And it’s not like anything terrible will happen necessarily if you over-consumed, but you might blow your opportunity to have a beautiful sensual afternoon and instead get couch lock on one end of the spectrum, or potentially paranoia on the other end of the spectrum. So [I recommend] a nice low dose and.

Which cannabis strains to use when using marijuana for sexual pleasure:

When we’re thinking about strains, it’s sometimes advisable to consider a hybrid. Indica strains are really relaxing. So for many people, that would be a great choice, but they can bring that couch lock, where you get demotivated to even be sexy or do yoga. A hybrid will get that relaxing part of the indica but a little bit of the uplifting part of the sativa. Hybrid is like the balanced blen,d the middle blend, so a low dose, with an indica-leaning hybrid.

Then when you think of methods of consumption, for sex or masturbation, I always ask my clients to consider where they’re curious. Are you curious about smoking or not at all into smoking? Are you curious about dabbing or cannabis lubes, CBD products, edibles? Where’s your interest?

Oftentimes, I would recommend the method you know that you’re most interested in and avoid the ones that maybe you’re scared of or not into, like maybe dabbing seems intimidating. It’s really up to the person. If I were to say a method, a very low-dose edible or tincture would be my top choice because they have an extremely delicious body feeling. But you really have to keep the dose low. So five milligrams or for someone very sensitive to cannabis.

I use 10 or 20 milligrams, but I’m a seasoned cannabis user. It’s different for everyone but the somatic experiencing of an edible makes the sensory aspects of sex and the orgasm much much stronger. And it lowers inhibitions [to make you] more available and vulnerable with [a] partner.
