Song of the Week: “Go Down On You” by The Memories

We’re keeping it light and breezy for our Song of the Week with “Go Down On You” by The Memories, a band just doing it all for the kicks, or should that be licks? Indie rock band The Memories were formed in Portland, Oregon in 2010 by childhood friends Rikky Gage and Kyle Handley.

This catchy song is taken from their album Love Is The Law, in which a majority of the other tracks carry the same playful vibrations. “Go Down On You,” if you haven’t already guessed, is a delightfully tongue in cheek number (no apologies for the phrase) about, as you might have guessed, going down on a woman.

It’s a short song with a playful chorus line:

There’s a move that you make, girl

There’s a noise that you do

There’s a look that you give me

When I go down on you

It’s no doubt this song will have you recalling fond memories, or imagining new ones still to be made. This song also makes a great song to send to your current crush, just saying.
