For the last three years, the Gin House Burlesque Revue has sold out with its Prohibition-era take on the arts of burlesque, vaudeville, circus, and music.
During the three-and-a-half-hour show, visitors can explore four floors of performances. Many even wear period-specific clothes. Here’s more from the site’s dress code section:
“We encourage ladies to dress in flapper dresses or vintage gowns, and gents to wear tails coats and hats. Smart dress essential.”
This “interactive vintage cabaret experience” is helmed by burlesque royalty that have mastered the art of vintage sensuality. Watch them perform in these stunning videos!
Miss Betsy Rose
In this particular performance (in New Orleans), Rose “embodied the Ancient Egyptian and Art Deco theme and Betsy was meant to be the vintage-face of the goddess Hathor.”
